Research & Applied Inquiry

My research lives at the intersection of trauma, identity, performance, and neurodiversity.

As a licensed clinical psychologist, trauma researcher, and performance coach, my work has always been grounded in both lived experience and scientific inquiry. I’m driven by a central question:

How do we access clarity—and restore wholeness—across thresholds of identity, injury, and transition?

Over the past two decades, I’ve contributed to research and program development across clinical, academic, military, and performance-based settings. My work spans:

  • University of South Florida (faculty collaborations, program evaluation, trauma research collaborative research with organizations like Hospice.)
  • Mayo Clinic – palliative care and end-of-life research, focused on psychological clarity, meaning-making, and integrative interventions
  • Veteran Service Organizations (SOF transition models, and NGO fieldwork)
  • British Army collaborations on trauma, reintegration, and psychological readiness
  • Private institutions and organizations, integrating coaching, neuroscience, and applied trauma frameworks for clinicians, executives, creatives, and elite performers

I’ve also explored how non-pathologizing, clarity-based models can better support those who don’t fit traditional diagnostic or therapeutic frameworks—especially high-performing, neurodivergent individuals and those navigating high-stakes transitions.

Areas of Focus

  • Trauma & Moral Injury
  • Narrative Identity & Memory Reconsolidation
  • Veteran Transition & Performance Psychology
  • Neurodivergent Functioning in Elite Professions
  • Interoception, Self-Organization & Embodied Clarity
  • Clarity-Based Coaching & Threshold Transformation
