Life integration, clarity forged in challenge.
Welcome to Doc Diego Therapy—the private practice and consulting home of Dr. Diego F. Hernandez, Psy.D., Licensed Clinical Psychologist, trauma researcher, and human performance consultant.
Whether you are navigating trauma, life transitions, or striving for deeper impact in leadership or performance—this is a place to reconnect with what matters most.
Therapy at with Doc Diego is focused, intensive, and built around your story—not just your symptoms. Just as we work bottom up in unconventional warfare, we work bottom up building relationships with your resources toward the common good.
Traditional therapy focuses on medically indicated diagnoses. I do not provide urgent or emergency care. Instead, together we can focus deeply on your concerns in conjunction with your regular therapist.
We work in 2–3 hour sessions to explore the core events and relationships shaping your current emotional landscape. Multi-day intensives (1–4 days) are available for those seeking deeper integration.
The focus on our practice is working with Veterans in Special Operations. I am a provider for SOF Network and Camaraderie Foundation. Additional information can be found here: SOF Veterans
Due to my travel schedule and obligations, I am unavailable for urgent or crisis management or care. I do not provide services for or treat active addiction or severe chronic mental illness. However, I often work in collaboration with your current therapist, providing deep narrative and integration work alongside ongoing care.
We begin with an intensive arc of 2–3 two hour sessions, then adjust based on your needs and goals.
I help clients uncover the core themes driving their thoughts, emotions, and decisions—often rooted in untended experiences that shape how they perform, relate, and lead.
My integrative approach blends clinical psychology, trauma therapy, and human performance science. You’ll benefit from over 25 years of experience with high-performing individuals who need support as exceptional as their roles require.
If you’re ready to work through what’s holding you back—or to unlock the next version of who you can become—let’s talk.
